Are you ever scrolling social media or hear about something a friend accomplished and start feeling FOMO? You may even start judging yourself, feeling like you’re behind in life.

Read this blog to learn how to go from feeling behind to beaming with pride thinking about the divine timing of your life.

Imagine you stop looking at life as a race or a competition… and instead, start understanding wholeheartedly that the only competition is yourself.

Here’s what I’m going to cover in this video:

3.  Learning how to go deeper and overcome the limiting beliefs that are fueling feeling behind in life.

By the end of this blog/video, you will know how to stop comparing your life to others and feel fully confident that you’re exactly where you need to be,  so that you can spend more time enjoying the life you have and creating the life you want.

These techniques I’m going to share with you today have helped so many of my clients and Dream Life Academy and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Okay so let’s jump right into these tips!

ONE: Know your triggers.

Let’s start this conversation with something that will instantly empower you when you’re feeling behind in life… And that is by knowing your triggers. 

  • Take time to consciously name and maybe even write about your triggers

TWO: Enjoy your divine, unique journey.

While watching someone else’s highlight reel, human nature creeps in and “comparisonitis” makes us forget that they too have, and possibly are experiencing tough times, challenges, and unexpected setbacks. We forget that we call behind in our own lives, someone else is looking at your life fully impressed

The point is that each of us has a divine journey full of highs and lows, wins, and challenges, and IT’S ALL BEAUTIFUL! 

  • And the key to enjoying your divine journey is knowing that you are doing your best, that you are showing up each day doing your best, and open to getting better. Even if that starts today, approaching your life with this passion and openness makes all the mistakes have meaning, and all the wins more gracious. 

THREE: Go Deeper.

Feeling behind in life is usually just the conscious thought emanating from a deeper limiting belief. 

The underlying limiting belief is probably – “I’m not enough!” In my program Dream Life Academy, I work with my clients to overcome limiting beliefs using my ATM method which stands for acceptance, transcendence, and management. Obviously, in this short blog & video, I can’t do the exact deep conscious work that I do with my clients but I want to offer a general strategy for this limiting belief that you might find useful.

  • First, Work to accept that you are feeling this way without judging yourself and perhaps offer yourself some compassion.
    • You might write a letter to yourself s if you were a friend offering compassion and uplifting words or you could place your hand on your heart when you feel triggered to offer yourself love and patience as you acknowledge how this situation makes you feel. 
  • Then, lean in to transcending this limiting belief by aligning with your Higher Self!
    • Look, this belief doesn’t define who you are!
    • Remind yourself that only are you enough, but you a divine being created by the most High with a divine purpose, plan, and journey.
    • God lives inside you, source energy radiates from you, and the timing of your journey is perfect. 
  • Lastly, you are going to manage this limiting belief by using thought techniques to reframe to belief.
    • You might use a mantra such as “I am more than enough and I am right on time.”
    • Or you may create a focus wheel.
